Dental SEO case studies
The closest case to dentistry in our case studies is a cosmetic surgery clinic, which reached 6,400 visits per month. The cases below come from other industries, but the mechanics are the same: a page that answers a precise search intent, a well-kept Business Profile and earned backlinks. Full detail on our case studies page.

Our dental SEO services
Patients who don't know your practice yet find it through searches like “emergency dentist near me” or “dental implants Toronto”, not by its name. Dental SEO works on both: your local presence in Google and a service page for each treatment you offer.
Local SEO and your Google Business Profile
Most dental searches are local, and the local pack often sits above the organic results. We structure your Business Profile: primary and secondary categories, accurate hours, office photos and the treatments you offer as services. Google says local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and popularity: a complete profile supports relevance, and Google names links and reviews among the signals of popularity. We also align your dental practice's name, address and phone number (NAP) across dental and local directories.
One page per dental treatment
Dental implants, Invisalign and clear aligners, veneers and whitening, emergency visits, family and pediatric dentistry: each treatment gets its own service page, with who it suits, how the appointment works, recovery, cost factors, your payment options and a short video from the dentist when you have one. A single “Services” page that lists everything usually ranks poorly for each of them. Each page states whether the dentist is a general dentist or a recognized specialist, and never calls a general dentist a specialist in implants or cosmetic dentistry.
Dental content written for E-E-A-T
Google says its systems give even more weight to strong experience, expertise and trust on health topics, which its rater guidelines call “Your Money or Your Life” (YMYL). Blog articles answer your patients' real questions about pain, recovery, cost and treatment options, citing dental sources. Each piece is shared in Google Docs, and a dentist at the practice reviews and approves it before it is published. The content stays general information and never replaces a diagnosis.
Reviews, directories and practice authority
Reviews are part of your practice's reputation, and Google counts them in local ranking. We help you get Google reviews without offering incentives for them, and help you answer them without confirming that anyone is a patient. We earn editorial backlinks from local media, health publications, dental directories and the associations you belong to, all earned rather than bought. Those links and consistent citations build the authority your treatment pages need to rank in competitive cities.
Technical SEO, mobile and AI search
A patient with a dental emergency who searches on a phone needs to reach you in one tap, so mobile speed, Core Web Vitals and click-to-call come first. Structured data describes the dental practice, its dentists and its treatments to Google. Multi-location practices get one Business Profile per office and, when demand justifies it, a location page. We also work on visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, the focus of our GEO agency.

Everything about dental SEO

What is dental SEO?
Dental SEO, also called SEO for dentists, is the search engine optimization work that makes a dental practice's website and Business Profile appear when someone searches for a dentist or a treatment in their city: treatment pages, local SEO, reviews, dental content, links and structured data. It differs from generic SEO in three ways: dental searches are usually local and some are emergencies, Google gives more weight to expertise on health topics, and dental advertising rules limit what a practice can claim.
Dental SEO and dental advertising rules
In Ontario, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) advertising guidelines ask dentists to personally control all printed and electronic material about their practice made available to the public, so the dentist approves anything we write. They prohibit testimonials, superlative or comparative terms such as “state of the art”, and incentive programs such as giveaways, contests, draws or free products or services, and require dentists to clearly disclose whether they are registered as a general practitioner or a specialist. In Quebec, the Code of ethics of dentists bars false, misleading or incomplete advertising, comparative advertising and endorsements or statements of gratitude, and requires dentists to keep a complete copy of every advertisement for 5 years after it last appears.
In the United States, section 5.F of the ADA Code of Ethics states that no dentist shall advertise in a manner that is false or misleading in any material respect, and section 5.H sets who may announce as a specialist. The Federal Trade Commission's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials bans fake reviews and incentives conditioned on a positive or negative review. For practices covered by HIPAA, a patient's written authorization is generally required before their health information is used or disclosed for marketing. State dental boards add their own rules. That is why no dental page we write promises a result or makes a misleading claim.
Our dental SEO method in 4 steps
Understand your local dental market
We look at which dental practices already rank for your treatments in your city, what your site captures today and which keywords are missing. You leave this step with a list of real searches, sized by volume and difficulty, and a plan our team then executes on your site.
Prioritize the treatments that pay
We rank keywords by value to the practice rather than by volume: a search for dental implants or Invisalign in your city is often worth more than several informational ones. We usually start with the treatment that brings the most revenue, measure its rankings and calls, then move on to the next. And if SEO isn't the best investment for your practice, we tell you.
Execute directly on your practice's website
Our team works inside your dental practice's WordPress, Wix or Webflow site: treatment pages, title tags and meta descriptions, internal linking, technical fixes and your Google Business Profile. Google Ads campaigns, included in the mandate, can bring in appointments while organic rankings build.
Measure calls and appointments every month
The monthly report tracks rankings and organic traffic in Search Console and Google Analytics, but the KPIs we discuss are calls and qualified appointment requests by treatment. We adjust priorities based on which treatments bring in new patient requests. The mandate runs month to month with 30 days' notice and no long-term contract. Everything we've built stays yours.
How much do dental SEO services cost?
For a dental practice, a mandate usually starts between $2,000 and $3,000 per month, because dental searches are competitive in most cities. The monthly cost depends on the number of treatments and locations, the competition in your market and the state of your site at the start, not on a package grid. Google Ads campaign management is included with no management fee, and the monthly report shows calls and appointment requests so you can judge the return yourself. Details are on our SEO pricing page.

Dental SEO FAQ
It depends on the treatment, the competition and the city. A well-structured Business Profile can move up in the local pack within a few weeks. A treatment page targeting a competitive search like “dental implants Toronto” often takes several months. We set realistic goals at the start and show you every month where rankings, organic traffic, calls and appointment requests stand.
It depends on where you practice. Ontario's RCDSO guidelines prohibit testimonials in dental advertising, and Quebec's Code of ethics of dentists bars endorsements and statements of gratitude. In the United States, the FTC bans fake reviews and incentives conditioned on a positive or negative review, and state boards add their own rules. Google reviews on your Business Profile still count for local ranking: answer each one without confirming the person is a patient.
Yes. A general dentist who places implants or offers clear aligners can have a page for each treatment and rank for it. What changes is the wording: the page describes the service without calling the dentist a specialist, a title most regulators reserve for dentists registered or certified in a recognized specialty. That precision keeps the page compliant and tells patients exactly who will treat them.
Yes, for every treatment that brings in real appointments. Someone searching for veneers wants a page about veneers, not a list of twenty dental services. Each page answers the questions patients ask before booking, explains how the appointment works and invites them to call or book online. We start with the treatments that matter most to your practice and add the others at the pace of the mandate.
Both: that is why Google Ads management is included in our mandates. Ads can generate calls and appointment requests as soon as they go live and help test which messages and treatments convert, emergency visits included. Organic SEO builds visibility that keeps working when the ad budget stops. Google Ads also has its own healthcare advertising policies, which our campaigns follow.
Yes. We take on dental practices anywhere in Canada or the United States, adapting the content to the rules of each province's dental regulator or each state's dental board. The work targets the cities where the practice actually has offices or patients, and each location gets its own Business Profile and, when demand justifies it, its own local page.
They can. When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini for a family dentist or an emergency dentist in their city, the answer often names a few practices and draws on sources such as their websites, directories, reviews and articles that mention them. A practice whose details are consistent everywhere and whose treatment pages answer clearly has a better chance of being cited.
Yes. Multi-location dental groups need one Google Business Profile per office, a location page for each office where demand justifies it and treatment pages that link to the right office. We keep names, addresses and phone numbers consistent across directories, track calls and appointment requests by location and prioritize the offices where the competition leaves the most room to grow.
