Our SEO case studies

Our architect SEO services
We start from your built work, which clients can compare by project type and city before they contact a firm. The groundwork shared by every building trade (local SEO, Google Business Profile, city pages, backlinks and technical SEO) is covered by our SEO agency for construction companies. For an architecture firm, SEO Montreal™, an SEO agency in Montreal, adds architect SEO services built around your portfolio and your profession’s rules.
One page per completed project
We turn each architecture project into its own page, written like a case study: building type, city, program, site constraints and captioned photos, instead of an image gallery with no text. Google says it extracts information about the subject matter of an image from the content of the page, including captions and image titles, and that alt text is the most important attribute for image metadata in Google Images. We write the description, captions and alt text for each project, then link the page to the matching service, such as a home addition or a historic renovation.
A service page for each type of commission
We rework your site structure to separate residential commissions (custom homes, additions and renovations) from commercial and institutional work, since homeowners and developers search with different keywords and questions. Each service page describes your process, from schematic design to construction documents and construction administration, then shows projects of the same type and a contact form. Specialties such as historic buildings, modern homes or sustainable design get their own page.
Advertising rules from your licensing board
Where your state or provincial licensing board, or its code of conduct, regulates advertising, we take those rules into account on every page. Quebec’s Code of ethics of architects, for example, bars false or misleading advertising (s. 68), requires architects who use their own name in an advertisement to follow it with “architect,” unless the name designates the firm (s. 72), and bars endorsements or testimonials, including by citing an honor, award or honorary title (s. 70). You confirm which rules apply to you, remain responsible for your advertising and approve every page in Google Docs before it goes live.
SEO for interior designers
We build pages for interior designers by room or type of space (kitchen, bathroom, office or retail), with before-and-after photos and the materials chosen. Where your state or province regulates the interior designer title, we use the exact title you hold. We target searches like “interior designer,” “interior design” or “kitchen design” plus the city, and we stay away from “interior architect” unless you are a licensed architect: section 14 of Quebec’s Architects Act bars anyone who is not an architect from using a title that may lead to the belief that they are authorized to practice the profession.
Planning guides for future clients
We write the guides prospects read before they call you: the steps of a home addition, the municipal building permit, the difference between schematic design and construction documents or the budget for a new custom home. Each guide shows your expertise, then links to the matching service page and the projects that illustrate it. If you discuss fees, we keep the focus on the service offered, where your code of conduct requires it.
Structured data and AI answers
We add schema markup that describes your architecture firm, its services and its projects, then structure your guides to answer the questions people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews. An AI answer can then cite your firm as a source, with no guaranteed placement. That work is the focus of our GEO agency.

Everything about architect SEO

What clients search for before hiring an architect
Homeowners planning a project
Homeowners type “architect near me,” “architect for home addition” or “architect cost” plus their city while they prepare their project. We target those keywords with your guides and residential service pages, linked to projects of the same type.
Checking the public register before the first call
Before trusting a firm with a project, a client can check your right to practice in a public register where your board publishes one, such as the Ordre des architectes du Québec’s directory, which can be searched by name, region, city or firm. We align your firm name and each architect’s name across your website, your Google Business Profile (also shown on Google Maps) and directories, with “architect” after each architect’s name where your rules require it, never added to the firm name.
Developers and public owners
A developer or public owner looks for references by building type (multifamily, schools or offices) and reads your project pages like a statement of qualifications. We build sector pages and detailed case studies for them, with the same approach as our B2B SEO agency. A project that came out of a design competition gets its own page, with your role spelled out.
Architecture firm SEO and the competition
On a broad search such as “architect” plus a city, your website can compete with license registers, lead platforms, design directories, publications and large firms. So we go after precise, long-tail searches first (project type, neighborhood or architectural style) that your project pages and guides can cover. Link building relies on editorial backlinks and guest posts, with no questionable practices. Contractors who build your projects target other searches, covered on our renovation contractor SEO page.
Our SEO method for architects
List your completed projects and commissions
We start with an audit of your website, your Google Business Profile and the competing firms in the cities where you take on work. We then list your completed projects with photos, credits and each architect’s role, and keyword research measures the volume and competition for each type of commission.
Choose the project types to promote first
We build the strategy around the commissions you want to win, for example residential additions or institutional projects, rather than search volume alone. We review those priorities every month, through a monthly report or a meeting, as you prefer.
Publish project pages, Google Ads included
Our team handles on-page SEO directly on your website (project pages, title tags, internal linking, photo load times and Core Web Vitals on mobile) and updates your Google Business Profile. Google Ads management, included in the mandate with no management fee, can bring in qualified inquiries while organic traffic to those pages gains momentum.
What architect SEO costs
For an architecture firm or an interior designer, an SEO mandate costs about $1,500 to $2,000 a month, with Google Ads management included at no management fee. The price depends on the scope of work, the number of project types to cover and the competition in your city, not on a fixed price grid. The mandate runs month to month with 30 days’ notice and the work we’ve built stays yours.

What is SEO for architects?
SEO for architects, also called architect SEO, covers what a client checks before choosing a professional: project pages, pages by type of commission, your Google Business Profile, guides and structured data. Two things set it apart: a portfolio that needs text to be understood by a search engine and professional rules that frame what a firm can claim in its advertising.
Architect SEO FAQ
It depends on your rules, so check before you do. Section 70 of Quebec’s Code of ethics of architects, for example, bars architects from using an endorsement or testimonial about themselves in a statement or advertisement, including by citing an honor, award or honorary title. Where a similar rule applies, your reviews stay on your Google Business Profile, where you can reply to each one, and you confirm with your board how to present an award.
State your role and your share of the work, then name the other architects or firms involved. Quebec’s Code of ethics of architects requires this credit when a project is carried out in a consortium or when you took part in it while practicing within a firm (s. 15). We put those credits at the top of the project page, with a link to each partner, who may link back to you.
We avoid it unless you are a licensed architect. Quebec’s Architects Act bars anyone who is not an architect from using a title that may lead to the belief that they are authorized to practice the profession, and your own jurisdiction may have a similar rule. We target “interior designer,” “interior design” or “kitchen design” plus the city instead, and a blog post can explain the difference between an interior designer and an architect.
You can: a page that explains how fees are calculated, for example as a percentage of construction cost or an hourly rate, answers a question homeowners and developers often ask. Some codes set limits, though: Quebec’s code bars architects from giving fees more importance than the services offered (s. 73). We describe the project steps first, from schematic design to construction documents, then the fee method.
We see three families of searches. Project searches combine a type and a city, such as “architect home addition Toronto” or “custom home architect Denver.” Planning searches cover the cost of an architect or the permit steps. Name searches follow word of mouth, once someone has recommended you. We match each family of keywords with the right page, from a guide to a service page.
It can contribute. A public owner or a developer may look at an architecture firm’s website before inviting it to a competition or shortlisting it after an RFP: they look for comparable projects and the team behind them. We write those reference pages with your real data and tie them to searches like “school architect” or “multifamily architect.” The RFP responses themselves stay with you.
One page per project, as soon as the project has enough to say: program, site constraints, materials, photos and credits. A single gallery groups dozens of images under one title, while a project page can rank for its own search, such as “modern addition to a duplex.” The gallery still works as an index that links to each project page, sorted by type of commission.
