Our SEO case studies

Our med spa SEO services
The groundwork every aesthetic clinic needs (local SEO, Google Business Profile, technical SEO, Core Web Vitals and bilingual sites) is covered by our healthcare SEO agency. Here, our SEO agency in Montreal details the med spa SEO services specific to non-surgical care, from injectables to laser hair removal, along with the advertising rules your regulator applies to them.
One page per injectable and laser treatment
We build a page for every aesthetic service on your menu: botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid fillers, laser hair removal, microneedling, chemical peels, body contouring, medical weight loss or IV therapy. Each treatment page answers the questions patients ask before booking a consultation: the treatment area, how a session works, aftercare and the price if you publish it. Related skin treatments, such as pigmentation or acne, get their own page when keyword research shows real demand in your city.
Treatment names before brand names
We build content around the injectable’s common name rather than the product’s brand name. In Canada, botulinum toxin is on Health Canada’s Prescription Drug List, and section C.01.044 of the Food and Drug Regulations limits general-public advertising of any prescription drug to its brand, proper or common name, price and quantity. In Quebec, the Collège des médecins advertising guide also bars a physician from promoting a product by its commercial name on the clinic’s website or social media. Rules differ by province and state, so the final call stays with your medical director.
Who injects: physician, nurse, prescription
We name the person who performs each injection or laser session on its treatment page, with their exact title and credentials. Who may inject, and under what supervision, depends on your province or state regulator. In Quebec, for example, a joint notice from the Collège des médecins and the OIIQ (May 2024) says each patient first needs a physician’s assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan; a nurse may then inject under an individual prescription, after assessing the patient before each session. Provider pages link each professional to their treatments, a trust signal patients can check before choosing a medical spa.
Prices, discounts and gift cards
We write your med spa’s pricing and promotion pages with your regulator’s advertising rules in mind. In Quebec, the Code of ethics of physicians requires prices a person without medical knowledge can understand, with their validity period, restrictions and extra fees (ss. 93.1 and 93.2), and prohibits advertising intended for vulnerable persons, including because of their age (s. 93.3). The Collège’s guide accepts discounts calculated from the posted regular price and gift cards with no expiration date, but not contests or drawings.
Reviews, testimonials and before-and-after photos
We help you get Google reviews without incentives or scripted wording, then leave them on your Google Business Profile, where they stay verifiable and support your reputation. Testimonial rules vary by regulator: in Quebec, physicians may not use expressions of support or gratitude in an unsuitable way (s. 88.1), and the Code of ethics of nurses bars nurses from using an endorsement about themselves in their advertising (s. 72). In Quebec, before-and-after photos of injectables follow the Collège’s conditions: written consent, a stated source and a note that results are not guaranteed.
Provider pages and AI search
We add structured data to treatment and provider pages so Google understands who offers which treatment and where. The same pages can serve as a source when a patient asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews about the difference between two injectables, the focus of our GEO agency in Montreal.

What med spa patients search for
Treatment, area and city
Many searches combine a treatment, an area and a city: “lip filler Toronto,” “laser hair removal price Calgary” or “Botox near me.” We match each keyword to the right page: the treatment page, the pricing page if you publish one, or the Google Business Profile that shows in the local pack.
Treatments booked as a series
Laser hair removal and injectables often come in a series or are repeated, as the provider recommends. We also target follow-up keywords (maintenance, next session, gift cards) so returning patients find your med spa for their next appointment.
Aesthetic medicine or surgery: two searches
Searches for injectables or laser treatments differ from searches for plastic surgery, with their own keywords, prices and decision times. We keep non-surgical treatments on their own pages, separate from procedures such as breast augmentation, which our page on SEO for plastic surgeons covers.
Med spa SEO competition on Google
For laser hair removal and skin treatments, an aesthetic clinic often shares the results page with beauty salons, dermatology clinics, multi-location chains and booking platforms. We first go after the keywords where medical supervision matters to patients, such as injectables, then build your website’s visibility and authority with editorial backlinks and guest posts, with no questionable practices.
Our medspa SEO method in 4 steps
Map your treatments and injectors
We list your services, who administers them and under what prescription, then what you already publish: prices, photos and promotions. We then compare that list with the med spas and aesthetic clinics that rank for them in your city.
Rank treatments by value and demand
We build the SEO strategy by ranking keywords by search intent, local demand and the ROI of each service for your med spa. A series of laser sessions can come before a one-off injection with more search volume.
Have your medical team review each treatment page
We write each treatment page and blog article in Google Docs, where your physician or nurse reviews the content and can sign it, as part of our E-E-A-T work. Our team then publishes it on your WordPress, Wix or Webflow website, with optimized title tags and internal linking. Google Ads management, included in the mandate with no management fee, can bring in qualified leads while organic rankings build.
Monthly report by treatment
Each month, as a report or a meeting as you prefer, we review rankings, organic traffic and conversions: consultation requests and appointments booked for each treatment.
How much does med spa SEO cost?
Aesthetic medicine is a competitive medical field, so a mandate typically starts at $2,000 to $3,000 per month. The price depends on the scope of the work and the competition in your city, not a fixed price grid. Google Ads management is included with no management fee.

What is SEO for medical spas?
SEO for medical spas is the search engine optimization of a clinic’s non-surgical aesthetic treatments: injectables, laser and skin treatment pages, the Google Business Profile and provider pages. It differs from general medical SEO in two ways: several services rely on prescription drugs whose advertising is regulated, and patients often compare prices and aesthetic clinics before they book.
Med spa SEO FAQ
Carefully. In Canada, advertising a prescription drug to the general public is limited to its brand, proper or common name, price and quantity. Some regulators go further: in Quebec, the Collège des médecins guide bars a physician from promoting a product by its commercial name on the clinic’s website. We build the page around botulinum toxin and the treatment itself. Whether a brand name appears remains your medical director’s decision.
Yes, within your regulator’s rules. The page presents their name, title, treatments and medical framework, such as the physician’s assessment and the prescription. In Quebec, for example, section 69 of the Code of ethics of nurses bars a nurse from associating their title with their name in public advertising that promotes the sale of a medication.
In Quebec, yes, if the price advertising is complete. The Collège des médecins guide accepts a discount calculated from the regular price posted at the clinic, and the Code of ethics of physicians requires the validity period, restrictions and extra fees. A nurse who advertises prices in Quebec must keep them in effect for at least 90 days after the last publication. Check your own regulator’s rules before launching a promotion.
Not in Quebec. The Collège des médecins notes that aesthetic medicine is not a specialty recognized under Quebec’s regulation on medical specialties, and the Code of ethics of physicians requires the physician’s name and a recognized specialist title in all advertising (s. 92). We apply this to title tags, provider pages and the Google Business Profile, while still targeting aesthetic medicine as a field of practice. Elsewhere, check how your regulator defines “specialist.”
It depends on your treatment menu, your margins and the competition in your city. We compare search volume for each service, from Botox to laser hair removal, with the treatment pages competing clinics already publish. We start where your med spa has the most to gain, often treatments done over several sessions, since each new patient can come back for repeat appointments.
Partly. The Google Ads Healthcare and medicines policy restricts prescription drug terms in ads, landing pages and keywords, depending on location. We build campaigns around the treatment, the consultation and the med spa. Organic SEO then covers the keywords ads have trouble reaching, and Google Ads management stays included in the mandate.
Not if a Quebec physician is involved. The Collège des médecins guide says a physician may not offer free or reduced-cost services to an influencer: retaining one creates a conflict of interest, and the physician no longer controls the message. Elsewhere, compliance depends on your own rules. We rely instead on physician-reviewed treatment pages and Google reviews earned without incentives.
